The Ripple Room is a Vancouver community for women who want real connection. Through coffee chats, neighbourhood walks, hands-on workshops and facilitated conversations, we make it easy to show up alone and leave with people.
Drop one stone in still water and watch what happens. A single small connection spreads outward until it touches people who were never even at the water's edge. The room is just the starting point.
Low cost, recurring coffee gatherings that make meeting new people feel easy and familiar.
Casual neighbourhood walks and conversations, with fresh air doing half the work.
Occasional art, craft and hands-on workshops where your hands stay busy and conversation follows.
Facilitated discussions, book exchanges and peer learning with women who are growing alongside you.
I started The Ripple Room because I know what it feels like to arrive somewhere new and look for your people. Moving from Toronto to Vancouver meant starting over and building a life from scratch. I had to find my own community, make new connections and create a sense of belonging in a city that was still unfamiliar. Through that experience, I learned that belonging rarely happens on its own. Sometimes, someone just has to make the first invitation.
Here, that invitation is simple. Come for a coffee, a walk, a workshop or a conversation, and see who you meet. Come alone. Leave connected.

Thank you for bringing us all together. The thoughtfulness and care that went into the gift bags was truly remarkable.
You have created something truly special, a space where women can come together, feel safe and be their authentic selves. Our community breaks down barriers of age, origin and more, so everyone feels welcome and valued.
